Designing Kids’ Rooms That Grow with Them: Fun, Functional, and Totally Stylish Wallpaper
Playful patterns meet real-life durability. Discover how our kid-friendly wallpaper collection brings imagination, color, and style to every corner of your home, from bedrooms to playrooms and beyond.
Hi friends! It’s Alexis here, founder of House Party and mom of three (which basically makes me an umpire, traffic director, and head chef by default). If there’s one thing I’ve learned from raising kids and running a business, it’s that a well-designed kids' space makes all the difference. Not just for how it looks, but for how it feels and most importantly, how it functions for the family. That’s why we're so passionate about creating wallpaper designs that are quirky and fun for kids but that also bring function to the space and are made with performance characteristics. If you’ve been thinking about giving your little one’s room a refresh, let me tell you why our wallpaper is the perfect choice and why you should not be afraid!
Whimsical Prints That Spark Imagination
Let’s start with the fun part, the designs! Our collection is filled with playful, storybook-like patterns that will instantly transport your child to another world. Take our Butterfly Garden Trellis designs, one makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a secret butterfly garden, while the other feels like you’re standing in a field of oversized flowers on the perfect summer day.
Or how about an Everglades Swamp tour? Our Crocodile Rock animal watercolor design brings that adventurous vibe to life, think funny little cartoon crocodiles that bring a playroom to life.
If sports are more their thing, our entire Clubhouse Collection is a home run (or should I say, an ace?) for a game room or playroom. And for the little fashionistas in the making, our Beauty Studio collection is perfect for a girl’s bathroom; it’s playful, chic, and so much fun.
Beyond the Bedroom
Sure, wallpaper in a bedroom is always a great idea, but why stop there? Kids’ spaces are so much more than just where they sleep. Some of my favorite installs have been in:
- Game rooms – Because nothing says “cool mom” like a tennis print on the walls.
- Reading nooks – A cozy corner becomes even cozier with a secret garden vibe.
- Dress-up closets – Turn that small space into a glam zone with our Beauty Studio or our floral prints.
- Homework desks – Who says studying has to be boring? A bold botanical print can make even math homework more bearable.
- Powder rooms – Kids aren’t the only ones who deserve a fun space, our playful patterns are perfect for adding personality to a small bathroom.
Kid-Friendly AND Built to Last
Now, let’s talk about durability, because what’s the point of gorgeous wallpaper if it can’t survive a toddler with an applesauce pouch? We’ve got you covered!
Our textured performance vinyl wallpaper was designed specifically for high-traffic areas. It’s stain and moisture-resistant, plus, it’s fire-tested (though let’s hope that part stays theoretical unless you’ve got a wild child on your hands).
I promise, you can have beautiful, custom luxury wallpaper in kid-friendly spaces without constantly worrying about Dorrito fingers or a marker attack.
Designed by a Mom, Approved by Kids
As a mom of three, I know firsthand how important it is to create a space that’s both beautiful and functional. That’s why we’ve designed every piece in our collection to hold up to real life while still feeling like a work of art. Our designer wallpaper is all about combining style with practicality. When your kids’ rooms look this good, you might just find yourself hanging out there too.
At House Party, we believe kids’ spaces deserve just as much style as the rest of your home, maybe even more. Our wallpaper collections are designed to inspire creativity while standing up to the realities of family life (yes, even sticky hands and snack spills). From whimsical prints to durable finishes, every design is made to look good and last. So go ahead, have a little fun with your walls, your kids will thank you for it.
So go ahead, add some fun, bring in some color, and let their personalities shine. And if you need help choosing the perfect print, you know where to find me.
Happy Wallpapering,
Alexis
